Ieva’s road to Eurovision
Lithuania was the last country to choose their representative, even their national selection started already in January. 60 songs took part in the selection, but over the past weeks, six finalists were selected.
Tonight the winner was chosen by the televoters together with a jury. Tonight’s jury included Lithuania’s Eurovision 2009 representative Sasha Song, who also performed in the show.
Ieva got the top points from both televoters and placed second with the jury. Jurgis Brūzga finished second and The Roop third.
International guests in the final
Next to the six finalists, two of this year’s representatives performed in the final. Iceland’s Ari Ólafsson sang his entry “Our Choice” and Finland’s Saara Aalto performed her Eurovision entry “Monsters”.
Lithuania’s last year’s representative Fusedmarc also performed their entry “Rain of Revolution”. Lithuania failed to qualify to the final last year by placing 17th in the semifinal.
